The  Seniors’ Resource Centre in Salmon Arm was established in 1987.

We are a non-profit organization offering information and referral services to seniors.

Our Mission Statement:  Helping senior members of our community and involving them in improving the quality of their lives while recognizing the essential value of a volunteer workforce and cooperative community liaisons.

The Purpose of our Society:

  • To involve seniors in improving the quality of their lives
  • To support senior members of our community to maintain their independence by providing them with information, services and programs
  • To utilize a volunteer workforce and recognize their essential value as a part of our organization
  • To cooperate with other community agencies in furthering supports to seniors

The participation of our volunteers in our programs is the key to our success.

If you would like to volunteer, please drop in or give us a call.  By volunteering with us, we can help you find a meaningful way for you to share your interests and talents. Our volunteers need not be seniors.

We are also grateful to our community partners for their unfailing support without whom none of these programs would be possible:

Askew’s Food Services, BC Gaming Commission, Bombay Grill, Catholic Church of St. Joseph, Remedy’s RX, Interior Health, City of Salmon Arm, BC Transit, Shoppers Drug Mart, Elk’s Lodge, Order of the Royal Purple, Rotary Club of Salmon Arm, Shuswap Lake General Hospital – Dietary Services, Salmar Community Association, Experience 50+ Magazine, SASCU, Knights of Clolumbus, Seniors Outreach and Resource Centre, and the Shuswap Community Foundation.

Please see our COVID-19 Response page for further information on how we are handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
